The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an International Catholic organization of lay persons whose purpose is to sanctify its members in the exercise of charity and help the poor in their corporal and spiritual needs.

We believe:

• in the dignity of the human person
• in the identification of Jesus with the poor
• that our primary concern is charity and justice. 
  
  

Our works include:

• serving those who so badly need help, including single mothers with children, the disabled and/or very sick, homeless and so many more
• financial assistance for rent, utility bills, and other items
• referring clients to additional organizations who can help them
• bringing spirituality to those we serve through our examples and our words … absolutely the most important thing we do!
  
  

About us:

• The St. Teresa of Avila Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was established in 2011.
• We assist people throughout all of Placer County.
• Our volunteers represent St. Teresa of Avila’s Catholic Community and coordinate assistance with St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Auburn.
• We are able to fulfill this ministry only through the generous donations of parishioners and the 5^th Sunday collections for St. Vincent de Paul.
• We meet monthly on the 1^st Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm in the Beatitude Room at St. Teresa.
